PCI DSS

PCI DSS is a security standard maintained by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, mandatory for any organization that stores, processes, or transmits payment card data. It includes explicit, recurring technical testing requirements — quarterly vulnerability scanning by an Approved Scanning Vendor for external-facing systems in scope, and penetration testing at least annually and after significant infrastructure changes.
