OWASP Top 10

A regularly updated list of the most critical web application security risks, maintained by OWASP.

The OWASP Top 10 is a widely referenced awareness document listing the most common and impactful web application security risks — categories like broken access control, injection, and security misconfiguration — updated periodically as the threat landscape shifts. It is not a checklist that guarantees security if followed, but it is a useful shared vocabulary for prioritizing testing effort and communicating risk to non-specialists. Many of Venstap's automated scan templates and manual web application testing methodologies are organized with OWASP Top 10 categories in mind, making it easier to report coverage against a framework stakeholders already recognize.
